Over a career spanning more than six decades, Duvall was recognized for his subtle yet powerful performances. He earned the Academy Award for Best Actor for Tender Mercies and received numerous nominations for his roles in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now.
“For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented,” Luciana Duvall said. “In doing so, he leaves something lasting and unforgettable to us all.”
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced, and the family has requested privacy as they honor his life and legacy.
