LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, October 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) will host a free screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, Los Tigres del Norte at Folsom Prison, on Sunday November 17 at 4:00 p.m.

In conjunction with the screening, MOLAA will exclusively debut a special exhibition of behind-the-scenes photographs, taken by award-winning photographer Lance Dawes, of Los Tigres del Norte’s historic visit to Folsom from Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 17. The screening on November 17 will be followed by a Q&A with Lance Dawes and the documentary’s co-producer, Zach Horowitz. The documentary captures the legendary band’s trip to Folsom Prison in 2018, 50 years after Johnny Cash’s famous concert there. More than a concert film, the documentary is a journey into the world of Latino incarceration told through the songs of Los Tigres del Norte and interviews with Latinx inmates at Folsom. It’s been called one of the best new documentaries on Netflix by the Washington Post, the New York Daily News and Buzzfeed, just to name a few. The documentary is sixty minutes long, in Spanish with English subtitles.

Los Tigres del Norte is one of the most important and popular bands in the history of Latin music. Often called “the voice of the voiceless," they have sold over 40 million albums, have had 50 #1 chart-topping singles. After five decades, the band continues to sell out concerts across the U.S. and Latin America.

The exclusive photography exhibit features the work of Lance Dawes, the only photographer allowed to accompany the band on their visit to the prison. Best known for his work as a documentary and editorial photographer, for almost thirty years Dawes has chronicled virtually every aspect of the action sports industry as well as the music and entertainment industry. His credits include Slap Magazine (which he founded and where he was the editor, art director and chief photographer), Thrasher, ESPN.com, the Washington Post, the Associated Press and Juxtapoz Magazine. His work has appeared in campaigns for Sketchers, Vans, Panasonic, Fossil Watches and Nike and many others, as well as on album covers for Universal, Warner and Atlantic Records. He has photographed everyone from the Beastie Boys to Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Clint Eastwood. His work has been included in photography exhibits around the world.

Some of the photographs included in the exhibit will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting MOLAA.

There will be food trucks and a cash bar available on-site for the screening. The documentary will be screened in MOLAA’s Viva Event Center. This event is free and open to public. The CCV Center is preparing for a “spook-tacular” Trick-or-Treat and Halloween Movie Night in the Osceola Courtyard on October 31st starting 6PM. The event features trick or treating along N. Fort Harrison Ave. The film Coco will be shown as part of the festivities.

CLEARWATER, FL, US, October 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On October 31st starting 6PM, as Halloween monsters start roaming the streets, young ghosts and goblins and their families are invited to join the Clearwater Community Volunteers Center (CCV) for a safe trick-or-treat event plus Halloweentown Movie Night. There is no cost to attend. The event is sponsored by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization.

The CCV Center and the humanitarian program centers located along Fort Harrison Avenue will be decorated in the spirit of the Halloween season, enabling small and big monsters to visit different mythical locations of Halloweentown. From the Mad Scientist’s Lab, to Mummy’s Square, to the Pumpkin Theater, the centers will offer candies for to trick or treaters and photo ops to families.

Once witches, ghosts, monsters and fairies of all kinds complete their trick or treating, they will be ready to enjoy the “haunted” bouncy house, face painting, and various carnival games in the Osceola Courtyard adjacent to the CCV Center at the corner of Fort Harrison and Drew Street.

At 7:00pm sharp the costume contest will be held at the park with prizes such as "Fa-boo-lous Costume" or, “Too Cute to Spook”.

The event will end with a special screening in the Courtyard where complimentary popcorn and candies of all kinds can be enjoyed.

CITY OF LONDON , ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM, October 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The ceremony took place on 28 October 2019 in the palatial surroundings of Mansion House, the Lord Mayor’s official residence opposite the Bank of England, in the City of London. There to receive the award were Guildhawk CEO and Founder, Jurga Zilinskiene MBE, Chairman Ian Miller MBE and representatives of the Guildhawk language dynamics teams from London, Sheffield and Lithuania. Also in attendance was Cheryl Roux, Master of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers, the trade guild founded in the 13th Century of which Jurga is a member and Guildhawk Director of Integrity David Clarke, the former Head of the City Police Fraud Squad.

The City of London has a unique historical and political status and, as such, the Lord Mayor and a group of the City’s officers perform this official ceremony on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Guildhawk’s Head Office is close to Guildhall in the City of London, and following the official ceremony, the team also visited this iconic building. There they were honored to be joined by Mr Paul Double, the City of London Remembrancer, a role that dates back to 1571 and is the official channel of communication between the Lord Mayor and City of London on the one hand and the Queen and Parliament on the other.

Zilinskiene has her own place in the City’s long history, becoming the first Lithuanian woman to be robed as a Liveryman and Freeman of the City of London and now the first Lithuanian Businesswoman to receive the Queens’ Award from the Lord Mayor.

The Story of Guildhawk and the Founder

Guildhawk is a privately held ethical and profitable Language Dynamics company that was founded by the Lithuanian British entrepreneur Zilinskiene in 2001.
