The nominations for the 2nd Annual LAOFCS Midseason Film Awards. The nomination list includes films such as Booksmart, Toy Story 4, Us, Rocketman, and others.

The Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society has announced the nominees for their Midseason Film Awards for the first half of 2019. Each June, the members of the LAOFCS vote in twelve different categories to help shine a light on what they believe are the best films of 2019 prior to entering the official award season.

Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart received the most love with seven nominations while Jordan Peele’s Us and Dexter Fletcher’s Rocketman tied for second place receiving a total of six nominations each.

The winners of the LAOFCS Midseason Awards will be revealed on Monday, July 1, 2019.

I woke up in the middle of the night with the whole Marilyn Monroe Movie Project already worked out for me. No more sleeping now. My mind was going a million miles an hour it seemed. WOW again. I was wide awake with ideas about the production and could not wait to start writing this press release.

In my 50 years plus of working in the Hollywood Entertainment Industry in marketing and publicity and loving it, I have never eye witnessed a more spectacular marketing campaign. This is a true Hollywood marketing dream that only gets stronger as it gains momentum. I'll show you why right here.

First, a little background on the famed subject of this whole project — Miss Hollywood herself Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn made over 20 films in her rather short motion picture career. She made "Some Like It Hot" with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, "The Misfits" with Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift, "The Seven Year Itch" with Tom Ewell, "There's No Business Like Show Business" with Jane Russell, "How to Marry a Millionaire" with Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall and "The Prince and the Showgirl" with Sir Lawrence Oliver.

The last time something this big happened in Hollywood goes back some 80 years when there was a world-wide search for the actress to play Scarlet O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind." Vivien Leigh succeeded, "Gone With the
Wind" succeeded and most of all — Hollywood succeeded.

At some point, the whole Marilyn Monroe Movie Project will become self-perpetuating. Look at how Donald Trump manages to fill every day with something new and unexpected. The same thing applies here. If every eligible actress decides to audition, think about all the history-making events that could suddenly be happening.

If white, black, yellow or even green actresses decide to audition, imagine what Beyonce or Rihanna would lend to their style of auditions. What if Lady Gaga decided to wear a black wig. What if Margot Robbie wore ice skates. Or what if Ru Paul decided to give it a try. You get the picture.

After the auditions, I envision four to six actresses picked to play roles that they choose to re-create from Marilyn Monroe films. All the actresses will appear in their personal treatment of Marilyn's famously infamous "Happy Birthday, Mr President" at the Madison Square Garden for JFK. Now I ask who would not want to see that?

CLEARWATER, FL, US, June 27, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On June 26th, fifteen Tampa Bay nonprofit organizations gathered at the Clearwater Community Volunteers Center for its monthly Charity Networking luncheon. Terry Hitchcock, motivational speaker and author, whose life was the subject of a documentary “Nothing is Impossible”, narrated by Billy Bob Thornton, advised the audience on how to inspire others to share in their nonprofits’ missions.

The luncheon began at 11:30 am inside the café-style gathering space of the CCV Center. Guests were invited to socialize with other nonprofits to promote the development of future partnerships.

Michael Soltero, manager of the CCV Center, served as the MC. He welcomed the attendees to the luncheon, before turning the stage over to the keynote speaker.

Hitchcock opened by giving some history of his accomplishments in the field of nonprofit work. He spoke about using his experience as a single parent to inspire others. He described his 2000-mile run in 75 consecutive days to bring about awareness of single-parenting and prompting others to take action.

Set in the Middle East, the plot follows a retired Chinese military man and now private security contractor (Chan) who is sent to rescue workers from a Chinese-run oil refinery under attack. Cena appears as a former U.S. Marine who ends up helping Chan. Together, they fight to defeat the attackers whose real motive — a massive oil heist — is soon revealed.

“In the film, both characters start off as quite normal guys, both retired military and not superheroes," explains Chan. "At first, I think we’re opponents — I think he’s the bad guy and he thinks I’m the bad guy. But then we realize that we’re on the same side and go after the real enemy.” The Shanghai event served as the first occasion for Cena and Chan to meet in person, and already Chan was jumping to his feet to plot fight choreography during their group sit-down with The Hollywood Reporter.

Reed & Barton ended up closing Eureka Mfg. Co. the year after Mac left. 225 workers were put out of work and all of the designs were sent over to China to be copied. Reed & Barton still sold Reed & Barton Handcrafted Chests, but now they were being handcrafted in China, using MDF board, not hardwoods, and using paper printed to look like mahogany or cherry woods, which was then laminated onto the MDF panels in order to make handcrafted chests at much lower costs.

Thus, through the fall of Reed & Barton as a quality American Manufacturer, Mac saw opportunity! In 2010 he procured an interest and agreement with a Co. which had been a small competitor of Eureka Mfg. Co. Made in U.S.A. is the governance for the Co., using only the finest hardwoods, making only the finest handcrafted hardwood chests in classic designs. This new Co., the American Chest Company, will only take the less traveled. Make it superb, or do not make it at all!
American Chest has since stretched and outgrown the original factory!

The search to increase production while still maintaining all of the governance of the Co. led Mac to step back in time – Amish Craftsmen; strong men who share the same love of fine wood, beautiful designs and craftsmanship.
