NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES , November 29, 2018 / — The 26th annual New York African Diaspora International Film Festival (NYADIFF) is well underway in New York City with 61 films playing from 40 countries world wide! Having started on Friday, November 23, 2018, the festival has had screenings showing in Teachers College, Columbia University and MIST Harlem. From Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 the festival will be bringing some of its films to Cinema Village in Greenwich Village, New York.

Here are the films you should look out for:

Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 – Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 @ 5:30pm daily
In January 2015, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, sought a constitutional amendment that would allow him to be elected president for a third time.

This film documents the resulting demonstrations and follows three protagonists of the resistance. Ben, who lives in exile in New York, takes the advice of his fellow countrymen in exile and decides to join the struggle in the Congo. Jean Marie, who has just been released from prison, continues his public campaign for his country’s freedom and is persecuted by the secret service. Christian fights unperturbed in the streets of Kinshasa, even after former Prime Minister Etienne Tshisekedi, on whom the opposition had pinned their hopes, dies and the movement against Kabila’s extension of his time in office seems paralyzed.

Should one resist in exile, or fight on the ground in the Congo? Should resistance be non-violent or should force be used if required? Filmed throughout with a handheld camera that stays very close to the protagonists, even in precarious conditions, Dieudo Hamadi explores the pros and cons of different forms of resistance.

As of September 2018, general elections are scheduled to be held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 23 December 2018, to determine a successor to incumbent President Joseph Kabila.

(Directed by Dieudo Hamadi, 2017, France/Germany/Norway/Qatar/Switzerland, 75 minutes, documentary, French, Lingala with English subtitles.)

Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 – Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 @ 3:10pm daily
2018 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and winner of the Sakharov Prize 2014, Doctor Denis Mukwege is internationally known as the man who has assisted thousands of women who have been sexually assaulted during the 20 years of conflicts in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. However, his endless struggle to put an end to these atrocities and denounce the impunity enjoyed by the perpetrators is not welcome. Threatened with death, Doctor Denis Mukwege now lives cloistered in his hospital in Bukavu. But he is no longer alone in his struggle. The women to whom he has restored physical integrity and dignity, stand beside him, true activists for peace, hungry for justice.

(Directed by Thierry Michel and Colette Braeckman, 2015, Belgium/Congo, 113min, documentary in French, English, Swahil and Mashi with English subtitles.)

Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 – Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 @ 9:20pm daily
No Shade explores the hardships of the modern dating world through the dysmorphic presence of colorism as well as the fetishization of black women in a way that is tactful and honest. Jade is both effervescent and relatable as a 28 year old single woman of dark complexion who just “can’t seem to get it right,” let alone liberate herself from her unrequited love for the repressive and colorist Danny. The world through her eyes is both a quirky and tumultuous obstacle course of courtship catastrophes and heart-gripping silences. Despite Jade’s line up of Tinder flops and her challenges in the friend-zone, she is easy to engage with and adorable. Jade’s charisma, quirk, beauty, vulnerability and perseverance throughout the film make her a thoughtful heroine with a twist of comedic spunk in the end.
(Directed by Clare Anyiam-Osigwe, 2018, UK, 104 minutes, Romance/Drama, English)

Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 – Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 @ 1:00pm daily
Growing up in the Moroccan village of Tazzeka, Elias learned the secrets of traditional Moroccan cuisine from his grandmother who raised him. Years later, meeting a top Paris chef and a young woman named Salma inspires him to leave home. In Paris, Elias faces unstable work and financial hardship as an undocumented immigrant. But he also finds friendship with Souleymane, who helps revive his passion for cooking.
(Directed by Jean Phillipe Gaud, 2018, France/Morocco, 95 minutes, French, Arabic with English subtitles)

Alexander Golberg Jero spectacular Animated film “The Master and Margarita” featuring three forms of Animation!

Motion Capture

Three forms of Animation in one feature will be produced by Hollywood for the First Time in Alexander Golberg Jero Animated film “The Master and Margarita”

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, November 29, 2018 / — The special Animated film is based on the famous Russian novel titled, “The Master and Margarita”. Written by the Russian writer, Mikhail Bulgakov. This new Animated film will feature three different styles of Animation to tell the three different stories that relate to the original novel. The three different styles are, CG/2-D/Motion Capture. Using these three formats will help display the satirical but beautiful story of 1930’s Moscow/the Biblical story of Christ/Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate. All of these stories intertwine together to create the breathtaking story of love and sacrifice that is the backbone of this famous novel, The Master and Margarita. In addition to the well composed music and the all star cast of voice actors, this film will also feature a special surprise guest star as the character of Pontius Pilate. The movie is set for release in the latter part of 2020, with production beginning in April of 2019. It is being Produced by MediaInVision Films and Buffalo 8 Productions. The Funding being raised by the BondIt Media Capital group. One of the main Animation studios that will help in the main production is, Noble. Noble is an Animation facility based in Hollywood. The main story centers around the satiric presence of the Devil (Woland) and his entourage as they visit Moscow. The seemingly simple and comical story consists of deep philosophical subjects that are stunningly portrayed by the interesting characters. For the story of Yashua (the prototype of Christ) and Pontius Pilate, Herald Entertainment, another Animation facility, will use 2-D Animation to tell this story that takes place during biblical times, centering around many biblical characters. There have been numerous 2D films/short films that have been produced that have featured biblical characters/stories. The final third of the film will use Motion Capture. A highly technical method of filmmaking that can add some very powerful incredible imagery to the film. Using the performances from live actors/actresses to help capture the Animation needed for this part of the film. With the use of these three different methods of Animation, it can only help to make it more interesting in a visual way besides telling the story. Just when people familiar with this great story, The Master and Margarita, Goldberg Jero creates a way to transform this novel into a delightful visual treat! This will help to change how people see The Master and Margarita. Using the incredible resources of different styles of Animation. However, a unique film like this is only as strong as the musical score behind it. This is where the talented Alexander Goldberg Jero uses his incredible musical sensibilities to make it shine all the more. The magic that he will create for this film using a surround sound experience that even the most trained audiophile will appreciate. Becoming completely immersed in this film. Animated films usually rely on their animation techniques for aesthetic appeal, which in this case have been carefully selected to perfectly tell this story. A story with as much depth as this one requires numerous techniques to highlight the various aspects of this iconic story. Working also together with the immensely talented and Grammy nominated conductor, Jose Serebrier, who is one of the most frequently recorded conductors today. These two musical geniuses have come together to create the perfect musical experience to accompany this classic tale, giving it the perfect musical finishing touches to this highly anticipated film. The Master and Margarita is a classic Russian story that has been read by the reading masses for a long time, since its creation back during the Stalin Era of Russia. This story had its own rich history, as a censored version was finally published in a Moscow magazine in the late 1960s after the author’s death. The original manuscript was published in 1967, in Paris. It has become a beloved piece of Russian literature over time. A story that Alexander Goldberg Jero was passionate about bringing to life in his own way. Much like everything else that Alexander Goldberg Jero does, he has created a meticulous plan for how he wanted this story to look and sound. It was not enough for Goldberg Jero to just simply retell a story that has been around for decades, but to also offer an unexpected but exciting visual approach to this literary classic through the making of an Animated film. He wanted to create an experience. Goldberg Jero aims to attract longtime fans of this classic novel but also to create a new audience for this timeless tale. He has a passion for telling stories through his musical projects. Which then caused him to direct this passion onto the tale of The Master and Margarita. A remarkable note here about the budget is that this movie is expected to come in at just under $20 million U.S. dollars. Media entrepreneur and co-producer Matthew Helderman, is responsible for raising up the funds that are necessary for a project of this scale. As indicated before, BondIt Media Capital, based in Santa Monica, has previously provided funding for more than 150 feature films and television projects which range from micro budget to larger studio projects. As an Executive Producer Service provider for The Master and Margarita, Helderman is actively looking for another investor who would like to contribute 25% of the film’s budget. Please contact MediaInVision Films to learn more about this exiting opportunity!

Muvi files Patent for Muvi Onyx: A Technology that provides Customized & Instant Preview of Mobile App in Near Real-Time

muvi onyx

HALFMOON, NEW YORK, USA, November 27, 2018 / — Muvi LLC, one of the world’s leading OTT platform provider, today announced the filing of a patent application which will address the blind spot customers go through when their app development is under process. The Patent application “A System for Providing Customized & Instant Preview of a Mobile Application in Near Real-Time” has been filed by the company at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Through the exclusive patent license agreement, Muvi will have exclusive right to practice the invention.

The patent application aims at providing a system or precisely a nearly deployment quality mobile app that provides a customized and instant preview of the original mobile application that is in the development stage. Starting from the wireframing, the application development cycle proceeds through a string of processes such as design, layout, coding, manual testing, review, automation testing etc. However, none of them give the owners the actual feel of the mobile application till the completion. Muvi Onyx bridges this gap and allows application owners to see and experience the entire workflow and process like an end user.

Satya Prakash Dash, Director Android & TV Apps, Muvi, stated, “Users can make any changes to the Muvi CMS and get an instant preview on Onyx. With all the standard functions enabled, Muvi Onyx compiles and displays a production-quality preview of the original app to customers instantly. Customers can feel the UI, stream videos and audio, or make a purchase through Onyx just like an end user does on a real app.

“The primary idea was to address the curiosity generated among customers between joining the Muvi platform to own their streaming app”, quotes Pragyan Priyadarshini, Chief Technology Officer, Muvi. “The USP of Muvi Onyx lies in its power to inform and empower customers at the same time. With the easy upload feature of the powerful Muvi CMS, customers can make as many numbers of changes to their CMS they want and see them in near real-time how their app would look like using Onyx. An invention that puts Muvi in a different league altogether.”

Known for its instantly deployable OTT platform and a bunch of enviable features such as Playout, Policy Engine, Visual Designer etc. in its arsenal, according to sources, Muvi has already started rolling Muvi Onyx to its existing customers through its CMS and the initial response has been overwhelming.

Two New Initiatives Launched By Italian American One Voice Coalition in Its Ongoing Defense of Italian American Heritage and Culture

BLOOMFIELD, NJ, USA, November 27, 2018 / — Bloomfield, NJ – The Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition (“ONE VOICE”), America’s largest independent Italian American anti-bias organization, and NJ Assemblyman Ralph Caputo were honored by the NJ Italian American Heritage Commission (“NJIAHC”) at a special awards ceremony held in their honor.

Robert DiBiase, NJIAHC Chair presented awards to Dr. Manny Alfano, Founder and President of ONE VOICE and Assemblyman Caputo, for their untiring efforts supporting Italian American heritage and culture and specifically for supporting funding of the NJIAHC. “We are grateful to both ONE VOICE and Assemblyman Caputo for their strong support of our heritage and the Commission,” stated Mr. DiBiase.

Upon receiving the award Dr. Alfano stated, “I accept this award on behalf of the ONE VOICE Executive Board, our Organization Members and Defenders across the nation who work every day to protect Italian Americans.” In addition to issues such as stereotyping, he noted recent increases in attacks on Columbus Day, “This is an American Holiday and Italian Americans are the caretakers of this important accomplishment that opened up this part of the world.”

Assemblyman Caputo gave an impassioned talk on his support and involvement in the Italian American experience. “I am honored to receive this recognition from the Commission and I will continue to support it and the work of ONE VOICE in any way I can.”

ONE VOICE used the occasion to announce two new initiatives to expand its efforts at defending Italian American heritage and culture.

ONE VOICE Executive Board Member Frank Lorenzo took to the podium to announce that ONE VOICE launched a GoFundMe Campaign to secure support for ONE VOICE’s efforts at defending Columbus Day across the US. “We were successful in helping to save the iconic Columbus Statue in New York City. But it takes funds for legal costs and other expenses to repel this desecration of our great American holiday. Our GoFundMe Campaign is a way for everyone to help fight,” he stated.

Mr. Lorenzo turned the microphone over to ONE VOICE Communications Director, Andre’ DiMino to announce the second initiative for the organization.

“We are fortunate to have dedicated Executive Board Members who meet monthly to discuss our efforts at counteracting stereotyping and discrimination. We need our Organization Members and Defenders, located across the country, to participate without having to travel.” He explained that ONE VOICE is launching a ‘Virtual Meeting’ program where a liaison for each Organization Member can participate in an interactive live video virtual meeting. “This will be a crucial tool for us to further connect our ONE VOICE team across the country to keep abreast of the latest attacks on our Italian American heritage and culture.” He urged any and all Italian American organizations, nationwide, to join ONE VOICE and participate in defending Italian American heritage and culture via the new Virtual Meeting program.

ONE VOICE is different from all other Italian American groups in that its sole focus and objective is to educate and fight bias, stereotyping and discrimination against Italian Americans. ONE VOICE’s stated mission is to “…secure the rightful representation of Americans of Italian origin and of all peoples whose paths toward social equality have been impeded. The powers of intellect, wisdom and due process of law will be brought to bear on all inequities.”

ONE VOICE issues a regular email newsletter, “The Alfano Digest,” to more than 5,000 individuals and Italian American organizations nationwide. Written and compiled by Dr. Alfano, the Digest issues alerts on instances of bias, stereotyping, discrimination and defamation and activates the ONE VOICE nationwide network of “Defenders” who respond through calls, emails, faxes, letters and demonstrations where necessary. The Digest also contains informative Italian American cultural and heritage information. To receive the Digest, email Dr. Alfano –

Oscar winner Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck meets Pop Art artist Tanja Playner

Franz Gasselsberger, Tanja Playner, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, Gregor Henckel von Donnersmarck, Adam Starhemberg

LINZ, AUSTRIA, November 26, 2018 / — Linz / At the Oberbank value forum Pop Art artist Tanja Playner met personally Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck – the Oscar winner, director, screenwriter and film producer, among others, known for his films "The Tourist" with Angelina Jolie and Johny Depp and "The Life of others ". For the movie "The Lives of Others" he received in 2007 an Oscar for the "Best Foreign Language Film".
"It was a special experience to meet Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and to talk with him. The more i listen to his thoughts about life and its values, the more i see parallels between our understanding of life. The personalities of art and culture move people consciously or unconsciously. In any case, some of them bring people to think with films and their life's works. It is important what kind of person you are and what values are important to you in life. I saw a down to earth person who not only remained very realistic with his success, but also created a great performance through his artistic visions in his filmography. "- says Pop Art artist Tanja Playner.
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck shared his memories of the conversation with Steven Spielberg at the 2007 Oscars award ceremony, which accompanies him in his career even today. At the Academy Awards ceremony, Steven Spielberg met Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and said to him, "The Oscar will change your life forever, just as people perceive you. But you always have to stay inside who you are ". Donnersmarck said about the success: "Success has a lot to do with luck. You have to be very careful with success. Speculation about success must be completely banished from your head". Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck also mentioned one of the most famous Austrians – Arnold Schwarzenegger as one of the best philosophers among the actors.
The new film by Donnersmarck "Werk ohne Autor" was submitted to the Oscar nomination. For the story, a journalist was the trigger, which dealt with the biography of the painter Gerhard Richter. The youngest sister of Richter's mother fell ill and was murdered by Nazis as "hereditary". The father of Gerhard Richter's first wife was SS Obersturmbahnführer and was responsible for the murder of his aunt. The sections of the painter's life have impressed Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. He spent some time with Gerhard Richter and got the information he needed for his film.
Prince Georg Adam Starhemberg, General Director of Oberbank Franz Gasselsberger and the abbot em. The Cistercian Monastery Heiligenkreuz Dkfm. Mag. Gregor Henckel von Donnersmarck also talked about their value in society at the Oberbank Values Forum.

SOLD: Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-12. More warbirds available immediately

Boschung Global arranges the sale of an iconic German WWII fighter aircraft

SARNEN, OW, SWITZERLAND, November 22, 2018 / — Boschung Global Ltd (BGA), a provider of aviation brokerage, acquisition, marketing and consulting services, is pleased to announce the sale of a unique aircraft from their world class warbird inventory, that of an airworthy Messerschmitt Bf109G-12 two seat trainer. This rare version of the Luftwaffe’s famous fighter features dual controls and although currently powered by the reliable and easy to maintain Rolls Royce Merlin engine, has the capacity to be fitted with an original Daimler Benz, everything forward of the firewall able to be changed out in a relatively quick process. The aircraft has the potential to offer passenger rides allowing enthusiasts to experience the feeling of flying in the most successful fighter aircraft in history.

It is appropriate that BGA, after having the aircraft advertised for just a few short months, not only found a buyer, but have placed the aircraft with a German based owner. This is a superb outcome, given the aircraft’s heritage and that it was formerly taken care of by the largest and finest private collections in the country. This was made possible through the hard work of BGA’s highly-qualified warbird professionals who have a decade of experience negotiating both the purchase and sale of exotic aircraft from around the globe through their extensive network, all of which is based on a Company brand which is highly respected. This in turn lends itself to a competitive advantage when it comes to exclusivity; because BGA is trusted to market significant aircraft for its clients as they know that BGA’s reputation is second to none. The Company’s global market intelligence and flexible options, including the possibility of selling directly to BGA’s inventory, means that every possible opportunity is explored in order to satisfy the needs of its clients – no matter if they are selling or buying.
The recently sold Bf109 G-12 was part of the Usedom based The Air Fighter Academy / Hangar 10, which has built up one of the finest collections of classic and warbird aircraft in Europe, operating fighters and trainers from the major combatants which fought in Europe during Wold War Two. They operate as a living museum and offer rides to the public in some of these. In doing so they honour the young pilots of all nations who flew these types in anger. The collection features such famous fighters as the Spitfire, the Mustang and the Yak, but arguably the pride of place goes to Willy Messerschmitt’s legendary creation.

Until this sale, The Air Fighter Academy / Hangar 10 boasted three of Messerschmitt finest, which is good news for those who were thinking about purchasing the two seater but hesitated just that little bit too long! This is because BGA is also in a position to offer both the Bf109G-6 and the recently flown Bf109G-14 to anyone who is wanting to own the classic fighter model. Both of these aircraft have been rebuilt to exacting standards, are powered by Daimler Benz engines and are the finest examples being offered for sale in decades. It is certain that with the marketing power which has put BGA at the forefront of worldwide warbird sales, that these aircraft will not be available for very long. Whether purchased for the pleasure of flight or for a sound and ever increasing return on an investment, you can be certain that owning any of these aircraft is a smart decision. For those interested in the latter, BGA are able to provide advisory services in order to assist clients with personalized investment strategies on the future marketing of vintage and classic aircraft from the World War II era. Such specialty advice is hugely valuable in making the most of your investment – peace of mind being paramount.

The Air Fighter Academy / Hangar 10 recognise the professionalism of BGA and the value of having such a partner which can develop marketing strategies tailored to their specific needs, backed up by global reach. They are safe in the knowledge that BGA’s international team of sales representatives, sales support staff and marketing professionals will ‘get the job done.’ Consequently BGA are not only able to offer the Messerschmitts, but some of the aforementioned iconic aircraft currently in the collection of Air Fighter Academy / Hangar 10.

The recent sale of the collection’s Bf109G-12 proves that Air Fighter Academy / Hangar 10’s ongoing confidence in Boschung Global Ltd is well founded!

LONDON, SOHO, UNITED_KINGDOM, November 21, 2018 / — A survivor of one of WWII’s most brutal bombing campaigns, which has now been made into made into a film with Bruce Willis, has expressed how real the on-screen events are.

The WWII action film, The Bombing (or Air Strike as it’s known in America) tells the story of a little-known moment of WWII history in 1939 in Chongqing in China.

Over two days 12,000 people, mostly civilians died in a series of brutal bombings by the Japanese.

Until recently, this event in World War II has only been mentioned briefly, but now the film Air Strike is bringing this moment in history back into the light.
Mr Huang Shih Chung was living in the city as a child at the time of the horrendous bombing in May 1939. He says the on-screen drama is true to life: “The film stays true to real events, I was really frightened because the Japanese planes were shooting at people fleeing. Many died, especially on bridges because there was nowhere to go.”

Director Xiang Feng has tried to stay true to the facts and use original props where possible, such as original bomb casings and furniture on sets.
The story of the film, of which Mel Gibson was a consultant, spans four years between 1938 and 1941, starting three years before Nazi Germany’s bombing of London, and four years before Pearl Harbour.

It centres around three different groups of people, some trying to find their way to Chongqing and others already there, all trying to dodge the Japanese air attacks. It shows the unbreakable spirit of the Chinese soldiers in their quest to protect their country, whilst being completely outnumbered by the Japanese imperial army in a relentless attack spanning years.

During the four years, Japanese warplanes carried out more than 200 separate bombing raids on Chongqing, killing nearly 12,000 people, most of them civilians.

Oxford historian and author Rana Mitter has studied the Chongqing bombings and says the film is a beautiful reminder of a moment in history we should never forget: “The important thing about Chongqing is that this was the first of the big terror raids that became common in World War II, they had to bear bombings with no real air defences.”

The Americans help was enlisted by the Chinese in a bid to help them defeat the Japanese, as their knowledge of combat in the air was better. This forged a great relationship between the two countries, which is still apparent today.

Eventually the bombing ceased and the Chongqing slowly started to rebuild its self. Recently 40 Chinese who were wounded or lost family during the bombings brought a law suit against the Japanese government asking for an apology, which they didn’t receive. Huang reflect: “I hope the world doesn’t forget how many lives we sacrificed. It’s a lesson that if you invade others, you will lose.”
