Pope Francis Asked to Intervene in Catholic Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Sexual Predator Cover-Up Scandal

Governor Andrew Cuomo has been protecting and shielding countless sexual predators and pedophiles within the New York State Mental Health Care system from prosecution for over a decade, he must be removed and prosecuted for numerous State and federal crimes

Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Catholic, is protecting sexual predators within his mental health agencies as Catholic Church leaders in New York look the other way

It doesn’t get any sicker than this; protecting sexual predators and allowing them to continue to rape disabled women and children is the worst type of evil imaginable.”

— Michael Carey – Advocate for people with disabilities and their families

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, December 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Thousands of sexual assaults and rapes of women and children with disabilities within Governor Andrew Cuomo’s mental health agencies have been reported in the last four and a half years to Cuomo’s internal abuse hotline, instead of to 911 emergency call centers. Almost all of these sexual assault and rape crimes have disappeared internally and have been covered-up.

For over ten years, first Attorney General Cuomo and now Governor Andrew Cuomo have protected countless sexual predators, pedophiles and rapists within State run and private mental health facilities and group homes from being fired and prosecuted. This timeline proves Governor Andrew Cuomo’s direct involvement for over a decade.

Governor Andrew Cuomo, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Bishop Edward Scharfenberger have worked close together to protect institutional sex abuse and the cover-ups of most of these crimes. In attempts to protect their institutions and vast amounts of money, they have negated their responsibilities to the most vulnerable people they are supposed to serve and protect.

Requests have been made to Pope Francis by leading civil and disability rights advocate, Michael Carey of the Jonathan Carey Foundation, for Pope Francis to immediately intervene and take emergency actions for a number of very specific reasons. First, two of the Pope’s top leaders within the Catholic Church in New York State have chosen to protect Governor Cuomo’s illegal activities over the safety of disabled women and children. Second, Governor Andrew Cuomo is a Catholic. Third, and the most important reason, is the fact that thousands of extremely vulnerable women and children, which are God’s children, need to be defended and protected from sexual predators, not ignored and shunned. The fourth reason why Pope Francis cannot sit on the sidelines and do nothing is because this is not just happening in New York, it is a worldwide problem; it is an international institutional failure of epic proportion. The sexual assaults, rapes and cover-ups within New York State’s mental health care system that have come to light is no different than what was exposed through the Catholic Church pedophile priest sex scandal that rocked the Catholic Church in 2002.

The Spotlight investigative reporting team for the Boston Globe exposed that Cardinal Bernard Law, who just died, was protecting sexual predator and pedophile Catholic priests and moving them from parish to parish. Governor Andrew Cuomo is doing the exact same thing within his mental health agencies with sexual predator and pedophile caregivers. The sexual abuse and rapes are rampant and Governor Cuomo, like Cardinal Law, is attempting to protect himself and his institution instead of vulnerable women and children with disabilities. It doesn’t get any sicker than this; protecting sexual predators and allowing them to continue to rape disabled women and children is the worst type of evil imaginable. It is unconscionable to protect sexually deviant people from arrest and criminal prosecution that rape vulnerable people with disabilities, but this is what Governor Andrew Cuomo is doing on a regular basis as Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Bishop Edward Scharfenberger look the other way.

According to vast amounts of information obtained over the course of many years’ by the Jonathan Carey Foundation, which advocates for vulnerable children and the disabled, points to systemic institutional failures in New York State. These systemic failures though are the same in many other countries throughout the world. Both the Catholic Church and the governments are equally guilty because in most cases they work together. Both institutions know of the massive scope of sex crimes occurring within their institutions and have chosen to cover them up to protect their institutions and money instead of the women and children sexual assault victims. The simple fact is, when you do not have major safety and abuse prevention measures in place, as well as immediate and direct reporting to 911 or similar emergency call centers throughout the world, vulnerable people get raped and the police are kept out of the picture. These institutions can practically cover-up anything internally and that is exactly what they have been doing for decades. Without dealing with this deep civil rights and discrimination issue, which is the underlying root cause, and without removing the top institutional leaders involved in the cover-ups, sexual predators and pedophiles continue to rape our most vulnerable and these wicked atrocities continue.

Cardinal Bernard Law’s death last week simply reignited a firestorm that will not go out until institutions and institutional leaders are held accountable. Cardinal Bernard Law is the perfect example of how this evil and these sexual atrocities have not diminished, but multiplied over the years. Cardinal Bernard Law was protecting sexual predator and pedophile priests, just like New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo is doing right now. Cardinal Bernard Law got away with his crimes for years because no one within the Catholic Church held him accountable. Even after he was caught Cardinal Law was unjustly promoted by the Church, instead of arrested and prosecuted for allowing hundreds of additional children to be raped by known pedophile priests. Cardinal Bernard Law should never have escaped justice, but should have spent the rest of his life in jail, not in Rome.

This evil in the midst of the Catholic Church remains today, throughout much of the world. Many Bishops and Cardinals have protected pedophile priests and government leaders involved in protecting sexual predators. Most of these corrupted Catholic leaders remain in positions of power today and they must be removed. Many Bishops and Cardinals are knowingly protecting people committing wicked and deviant sexual acts against vulnerable women and children. Bishop Edward Scharfenberger and Cardinal Dolan have had full knowledge of wide-scale systemic abuse and cover-ups in New York State and have been protecting Governor Andrew Cuomo who is Catholic. Numerous appeals for emergency help for the disabled by Michael Carey, to both Catholic Church leaders were ignored, they did nothing according to Carey, as thousands of more rapes occurred that have been internally covered-up.

Pope Francis has been extensively informed and it is time for him to act decisively to protect the disabled and to help them finally receive equal rights. No longer can the sexual predators and pedophiles and the worst criminals, the Church or government leaders that are protecting and shielding these sexual predators and pedophiles, escape justice.
This is what is going on in New York State right now. This is current news, Catholic Church leaders in New York State are looking the other way as thousands of women and children with disabilities are being raped in institutions and group homes. Pope Francis, this is not ‘fake news’ or old news, this is current news, it is happening right now in New York State as your Church leaders knowingly look the other way.

According to New York State documents obtained through Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) there have been 6,384 reported sexual assaults in less than 5 years within only one of the six New York State mental health agencies -OPWDD. These astronomical numbers of sexual assaults of children and adults with developmental disabilities in both State run and privately operated facilities and group homes are only a drop in the bucket of what is really happening behind these closed doors.

To get a real picture of the massive scope and magnitude of this sex cover-up scandal you must understand first that almost all of the reported sexual assaults and rapes disappear internally; they are covered-up by the directive of Governor Andrew Cuomo. According to a well known study and report posted on the State of Massachusetts website titled, “Prevalence of Violence” only 3% of these sex crimes committed against the developmentally disabled will ever be reported.

Google the New York State Justice Center, Governor Cuomo, Abuse and neglect, deaths reported to a dormant email address, as well as all Associated Press and BuzzFeed News investigative news pieces on the Justice Center to see what has been publicly exposed to date.

The Oscar award winning movie “Spotlight” visually brought to light the most scandalous sex cover-up scheme that mirrors Governor Andrew Cuomo’s New York States sex cover-up scandal surrounding the disabled. The New York State mental health care system and scandalous sex cover-up scheme is believed to be much larger in scope, than the worldwide pedophile priest cover-up scandal.

The two wrestlers were in a prior title match – a 3-way match – with Sami Callihan at PCW Second to None in July, which spurred an intense rivalry between Callihan and Penta El Zero M. Now, all three rivals will be joined in the ring by one of only three wrestlers to hold the NWA, AJPW Triple Crown and IWGP Heavyweight Championships, The Great Muta.

The event can be watched world-wide on FITE TV, ROKU and the FITE TV app. Visit https://www.fite.tv/watch/pcw-ultra-anniversary-2k18/2milr/ to order the event on iPPV.

The Toronto International Independent Film Festival took place on the 17th December 2017 in Toronto

The Toronto International Independent Film Festival is an eagerly anticipated annual event which takes place in December at the Kingsway Theatre.

The festival is planing to host visiting artists to present an average of more than 50 non-fiction films, and offers a variety of exciting events throughout the town.”

— Alex King

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, December 22, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Theatre is located at 3030 Bloor Street West, Toronto ON M8X 2Y8. Although it only began in 2016, the Festival is already considered to be one of Canada’s foremost cinema celebrations, specializing in non-fiction films and documentaries. Unlike other festivals, entry to view the productions on offer at the Kingsway Theatre is free.

This year’s event was held on December 17th, and as last year, it was a resounding success. Awards and prizes were held in a variety of categories including best film, best director, best screenplay and best music video.

The mission of the festival is to showcase some of the most accomplished new works and to celebrate the contributions to cinematography from emerging and more experienced film makers. As in 2016, this year’s Festival offered opportunities for members of the film industry to get together to establish and re-establish relationships with their fellows. It gave them a forum for mutual support and the discussion of common problems associated with the filmmaking process.

More than 50 productions from Canada and overseas were shown at the main venue of the Toronto International Independent Film Festival.

These included workshops, master classes and panels. Specific dedicated sectors were well attended at the Festival, with the common aim of giving sound advice about the making of films, their distribution and promotion. The intention of the professionals associated with the Festival is to find ways to ensure that the creativity of talented cinematographers should not go to waste.

The ‘Investor’s Sector’ of the Festival aims to create opportunities where people come together to help finance quality screenplays and emerging projects to come to fruition on the big screen.

The ‘Marketing Sector’ gives advice about ways that filmmakers can promote their works and generate publicity for the smaller projects where budgets are tight. This sector highlights ways to maximize quality advertising and promotion.

The ‘Film Distribution Sector’ helps the participants in the Toronto International Independent Film Festival to sign contracts with distribution companies who are familiar with the necessary processes that ensure high quality films are shown in a wide variety of locations, not only in Canada but also in the USA, Europe and Asia.

Together these sectors strive to ensure that films are shown to the widest possible audience and that funding opportunities are fully exploited.

As it proved to be at its inauguration last year, the Toronto International Independent Film Festival 2017 was an emphatic triumph, and the event is sure to go from strength to strength in the future.

A Christmas Message for Children From Pop Star Lilia Mai

A Christmas Message for Children follows here from Pop Star Lilia Mai in this Exclusive Interview with The Hollywood Sentinel.

I was born with strong faith in God in my heart…that faith grew bigger and bigger. For me, God is the creator of all the beauty, love and miracles in this world; yet even much more deeper.”

— Lilia Mai

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA, USA, December 15, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Beginning singing at the mere age of four years old, the stunningly gifted singer Lilia Mai is as equally beautiful–as she is talented. With a level of maturity and sophistication well beyond her 25 years of age, Lilia has performed on stages around the world, traveling to over 40 countries.

An Exclusive Interview with Lilia Mai by www.HollywoodSentinel.com

Hollywood Sentinel: It is almost Christmas; a magical, special time for children. What Christmas message would give to children who have such dreams as you have achieved, but are being held back, and told they can't succeed?

Lilia Mai: I would tell all the children; There is only one person who knows what you are made of, who feels what your true destiny is–and this person is 'you'! That is why you should trust yourself. If you are sure that it's what you have to do, then you you need to be strong, in order to fight for your dreams! Of course you can succeed! If God gave you the talent, then the world surely needs it! Work hard, always stay kind-hearted, and believe in the Almighty, because He believes in you. And I do too. Christmas-time is full of miracles, just like every single day is full of opportunities!

Hollywood Sentinel: Very nice. They say that love is the universal language–so are the arts and music. You give the world both through your songs. What inspires you to write such beautiful songs?

Lilia Mai: Feelings that I have, but can't reveal directly to the person I love. Sometimes I feel much more than the words are able to express. I want to keep forever all of the beautiful moments from this life in my songs. So; love, art, gratitude, sunsets, stars in the night sky, passion, tenderness, sunrises, even some social themes inspire me.

Hollywood Sentinel: Beautiful. What makes you laugh and most happy?

Lilia Mai: My little son is my best friend, he makes me laugh and he makes me the most happy.
Happiness is all about the moments; Getting wet from a strong rain, a beautiful kiss, catching snowflakes, seeing, or just thinking about the one you love, caring about the one you love, music, being useful, making others feel better.

Hollywood Sentinel: Lovely. What makes you sad and cry?

Lilia Mai: Injustice. I always feel sorry for suffering people; children, and animals–it often makes me cry. Also; even a song, book, film, or performance can make me cry. I'm filled with emotion. Wars, genocides, shedding of innocent people's blood, certain historical moments–a lot of these things are just breaking my heart. As David Jones stated, "It is both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so very deeply."

Hollywood Sentinel: Amazing. Is the world a more safer or dangerous place?

Lilia Mai: This is a very complicated and controversial question, because on one hand, we have better education, medicine, and science which make our lives simpler and safer. On the other hand, modern society lacks more spirituality and culture, and this sad fact leads to the rise of extremism–such as Islamic terrorism, totalitarianism, and dissoluteness at the same time. In my opinion, the only way to solve these problems is to increase the spiritual and cultural level of people around the world.

Hollywood Sentinel: Incredible. How would you teach a child love?

Lilia Mai: Just Love them with all your heart! Pay attention and care for them. Pray for them. That's all matters–that they feel Love.

Hollywood Sentinel: Nice. Is it better to turn the other cheek, or fight fire with fire, or both?

Lilia Mai: It depends on the situation. Sometimes one needs to fight, but sometimes it's better to turn the other cheek. There are different interpretations of this from the Bible actually. Times have changed, and we are living in a world that differs greatly from the one in which Leo Tolstoy– who shared the ideas of non-resistance, lived in.

Hollywood Sentinel: Who is God to you? Have you always had faith in a creator?

Lilia Mai: I was born with strong faith in God in my heart as I remember myself, but with each year of my life, that faith grew bigger and bigger. Through Love and pain it happened. For me, God is the creator of all the beauty, love and miracles in this world– yet even much more deeper.

Hollywood Sentinel: Interesting. How would you teach a person to have faith?

Lilia Mai: You can't teach someone to have faith. It is something that a person should feel and realize by himself. Still, the best way to teach, is to be evident as an example of a faithful person.

Hollywood Sentinel: Agreed. Have you ever fallen in love with, or had a crush on a famous singer or actor?

Lilia Mai: I have fallen in love only with a real man I knew. When you feel love, this person becomes absolutely the one and only, better than all the actors and singers in the whole world. But I've had a crush on personalities from films and books (laughs) that's a different thing! Keanu Reeves, and Leonardo DiCaprio have been my favorite actors my whole life. They are absolutely great!

Hollywood Sentinel: Some people will be celebrating Christmas soon. Some others don't believe in this. Assuming you believe in evil, what is the greatest evil in the world? How can it be stopped?

Lilia Mai: Love and God–that is all we need to stop it.

Hollywood Sentinel: Nice. What excites you about life? What do you live for?

Lilia Mai: That nothing is impossible! It's exiting, isn't it? I live for God, for love, for my family, for the people who I love and who need my help. I do want to succeed in my mission to bring the light to this world through my songs and actions.

Music Sensation Lindsey Stirling Teams with Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir to Help Hurricane Victims, with moving video tribute to First Responders

Directing Lindsey Stirling as she played violin in downtown Houston was really a visual dream. We really can make a difference when we work together.”

— Daniel Lir

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA, USA, December 15, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Music Star Lindsey Stirling teamed up with award winning Dream Team Directors; Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir, to help many of the worlds' recent hurricane victims, with a moving video tribute to the first responders in Texas, and a call to action for the public to help more. Generous support was provided by Masterpass by MasterCard.

Director Daniel Lir states, "We have now released an incredible new music video for violin sensation Lindsey Stirling. We brought in The Salvation Army, the Houston fire Department, Crowd Source Rescue, and some other amazing non-profits
to this project which will help raise more money for hurricane victims. This video pays tribute to the first responders, and to those who helped save and rebuild the lives of those affected by these deadly storms. We are proud, because it's our mission to have our projects create social change. And getting to work with Lindsey's Management, Friends at Work, MasterCard and the Ketchum Agency on this meaningful project was truly an alignment of powerful, caring individuals."

Bayou Bennett adds, "I remember seeing Lindsey Stirling years ago, when she was featured on YouTube with The Piano Guys, and I've been a 'huge' fan ever since! She brings positivity, with a dash of magic. She is so greatly aesthetic with her music and dancing."

Daniel Lir continues, "Lindsey has such great energy as an artist. Her idea to do this project, and her vision to represent 'Angels on Earth' was very rich, artistic information to draw visual ideas from. So when we went deeper in to the research of what had happened, and met the people who were on the ground first hand, our hearts just melted!" Daniel adds, "I'm talking here about a woman who passed up a month of pay to volunteer to help people in Rockport, Texas which was devastated, because that's what she felt she had to do–and knew was right! And I just loved how the Rockport Fire Department created a daily ritual of raising the American Flag, which you will see at the end of the Music Video."

As reported earlier on NBC News, Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir have collaborated, directed and produced alongside legendary talents including Oscar nominee Mark Ruffalo, Golden Globe nominee Anthony Mackie, Lea Michele, Ashley Judd, Billy Idol, P. Diddy, and Coldplay, among many other stars. One of the few husband and wife filmmaker duo in the world; Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir founded their renowned company Dream Team Directors in 2007.

Daniel Lir states, "Our goal at Dream Team Directors is to create projects that inspire others and create positive social change. When we were offered the opportunity to work with Lindsey Stirling, one of Bayou's very favorite artists; in a project that combined music video, documentary, and social betterment; it was really a dream project!" Daniel continues, "Getting to travel to Houston and meet the real life angels on Earth who dedicate their lives to helping others; including the great folks at the Salvation Army, and Crowdsource rescue–a volunteer organization instrumental in rescuing over 25,000 people–was very touching, and inspiring!"

Director Bayou Bennett adds, "It was super-exciting for me to direct her as she is stunning and such a professional. It was so fun to see my idea with the wings on the first responders, firemen and salvation army staff come alive. It almost brought tears to my eyes."

Daniel Lir states, "Directing Lindsey as she played violin in downtown Houston was really such a visual dream. She is so photogenic, and has such a motivating desire to help others, which is so refreshing! Also, hooking up with these other groups with a similar purpose like Sea Shepherd and Taino Spirit–who are helping in Puerto Rico–is incredible. All that power and shared purpose to help is a beautiful thing. We really can make a difference when we work together!"

Bayou Bennett adds, "This project was super-important to me, because I truly believe we can all be angels and give back in the ways we can; whether its money, giving a helping hand, or being supportive to the ones who need help. We are not victims. The news makes us feel we need to be afraid and stay in our houses and not come out. That's not true! Try 'not' watching the news for one week and see how much better you feel! We need to find the power that is in all of us, and become strong individuals that come together in tragedies like the Hurricanes."

Dream Team Directors Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir state their vision as filmmakers is to "combine imagination, humor, beauty, and a desire to positively impact the world through their stunning creative work." Their company motto, "Let our dream team manifest your dream," symbolizes the expansion and positive attention they win for their many famous clients including; Adidas, MTV, and more. The highly sought after directors mention, "We tend to work on projects that improve the world in some way; projects that uplift, that make you think, or are super-aesthetic."

They state, "We are really passionate about creating work that makes a positive impact on the world, whether creating a change the world documentary for Coldplay, Write Girl, Whole Planet, Teen Cancer America, writing and directing our original comedy such as 'Text Me' which went viral, or making a super-visual, innovative music video, such as with the incredible Lindsey Stirling–we simply want to open people’s eyes and inspire."

LA conference explores future of faith and storytelling

What does the future of faith look like? How will stories be told about it? And by whom?

LOS ANGELES, USA, December 15, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Religion News Association will join a host of partners working at the intersection of journalism, religion, communication and culture to present the one-day event "Reimagining Religion 2018: New Stories, New Communities" on Jan. 26 at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in Los Angeles. (REGISTER)

One of the biggest religion stories today is the rising number of Americans who no longer identify with a particular religion. But disaffiliation is only one side of the story.

The current period of flux also is characterized by people and congregations exploring spirituality and experimenting with new forms of religious expression.

For communicators and journalists, today's religious creativity represents opportunities for more complex and compelling narratives of meaning, purpose and identity that will engage audiences.

Featuring Barbara Hall (creator of "Joan of Arcadia" and "Madam Secretary"), Aziza Hasan (executive director of NewGround: A Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change), and Jason DeRose (Western bureau chief of NPR), among others, "Reimagining Religion" will highlight how — through diverse means of storytelling — communicators are instigators for change. (VIEW SCHEDULE)

The event is hosted by the Knight Program in Media and Religion at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism in cooperation with Religion News Association and Religion Communicators Council, as well as with co-sponsors: the USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture, Claremont School of Theology, and Los Angeles First United Methodist.
